LDC Youth Hockey
Registration is all completed online. Each skater must have a current USA hockey membership and that will be required during the registration process.
If you would like assistance with the registration process, have questions about our program, or would like to make payments in person, we will have board members available one evening in early September at the DC Middle School and the Litchfield Civic Arena.
Ages
LDC Youth Hockey follows MN Hockey age classifications.
2025-2026 age classifications by birthdate:
- Bantam - 6/1/10 to 5/31/12
- PeeWee/12U - 6/1/12 to 5/31/14
- Squirt/10U - 6/1/14 to 5/31/16
- Mite/8U - 6/1/16 to 5/31/18
- Mini-Mite/6U - 6/1/18 or younger
Tryouts
For Squirt/10U and above, for levels having multiple teams there will be tryouts for team placement.
Additional information, including the try out process, will be shared in early September.

Discounts
Discounts will be applied (and refunded if applicable) after registration is submitted.
- New skaters (not including mites) get a 25% discount off the registration fee.
- Families registering 3 or more players are eligible to receive a 10% discount on all registration fees. To ensure the 10% discount please register all players at the same time.
- If your mite signs up for the Pond Hockey program through Litchfield Community Education you can get $100 of the mite registration credited to your account. Pond Hockey registration receipt must be sent to ldctreasurer0@gmail.com to receive credit.
USA Hockey and MN Hockey Membership Fess
These fees will be charged when you register with USA Hockey for the player's annual membership:
USA Hockey Fees:
- Ages 6 and Under - $17
- Ages 7-8 - $56
- Ages 9-12 - $69
- Ages 13-18 - $79
- Ages 19 and Over (including coaches) - $52
Minnesota Hockey Fees, which applies to all USA Hockey members in MN:
- Ages 6 and Under - Free
- Ages 7-18 - $10
- Ages 19 and Over (including coaches) - $1
2025-2026
Registration for returning skaters will be open from July 1 - August 10, 2025.
Late registration after August 10 is subject to a $100 late fee for SQ/10U level and above. New skaters and mites/mini mites are exempt from a late registration fee.
